“Lebanon Debate”
News spread on social media that Dr. Abdulaziz Khalifa was beaten on the head by Syrian workers in the Sarafand area, which led to him entering a coma.
In this context, the former mayor of Sarafand, Ali Haidar, revealed during a call with “Lebanon Debate” the details of the problem that occurred, stressing that “the problem occurred in front of the doctor’s brother’s shop with one of the residents of the area, against the backdrop of a car parking.”
He points out that “Doctor Khalifa tried to intervene to calm things down, but the problem soon developed from an altercation to a clash of hands, which resulted in him falling to the ground and sustaining a head injury.”
He explains that “the person who had a dispute with Dr. Khalifa’s brother was accompanied by a Syrian worker and he intervened in the problem, so we immediately took appropriate measures against him and asked him to leave the town of Sarafand because we do not allow any Syrian to carry out hostile actions inside the town.”
Haider stresses that “Doctor Khalifa is not one of those who have problems and has great value in the town. He is known for his humanity, but unfortunately he suffered a blow.” However, he denies “every rumor that the doctor entered a comatose state in intensive care, stressing that his health condition is good and he is He left the hospital yesterday.”
