(Keystone-SDA) According to official figures, at least 14 medics were killed in Israeli air strikes in Lebanon within two days. Israel’s military attacked near a hospital in the Bekaa Valley in the east and as a result it had to temporarily suspend operations, the Health Ministry said.

According to official figures, more than 1,600 people have been killed in Lebanon, including more than 100 children and almost 200 women, since new confrontations between Israel’s military and Hezbollah began a year ago. Another 8,400 people were injured. The Ministry of Health does not distinguish between civilians and Hezbollah fighters.
