Lebanese YouTuber and Model Yumi’s Expensive Belongings Stolen at Cannes Hotel

The Lebanese YouTuber and model Yumi sparked a wide interaction on social media platforms, after her passport, bags and an expensive watch were stolen from a hotel room where she was staying in Cannes, France.

And the “Shababat” program (16/7/2023) followed the story of My Stolen Days, which is followed by 3.5 million followers on Snapchat, and the same or slightly less on Instagram. Yomi is known as a fan of famous brands, and she calls herself a doctor.

And the real name of Yumi is Yumna Khoury, and she had gone on a tour in the French city of Cannes, and she took with her many of her very valuable belongings, including watches, clothes, handbags, and sunglasses, and while she was in “Cannes” she left the hotel to go out for a walk, but when she returned, she found a disaster waiting for her. .

Yumi posted a video of her room after she was “robbed”, and her clothes appeared scattered on the floor, and a number of sunglasses appeared on one of the shelves, while other shelves appeared completely empty.

Yumi said in the video clip in which she appeared crying “without tears” that the thieves stole her passport and handbags, in addition to her watch from the “Richard Mile” brand, which is valued at $350,000.

After the video that Yumi published, many pages on the communication sites reported the news of the French police arresting Yumi’s driver, who admitted that she had asked him to tamper with her room to prank her mother, but Yumi sought to deny the driver, as she published videos from the hotel’s surveillance cameras showing the thieves fleeing.

Activists commented on what happened to Yumi, as the activist Arwa saw that Yumi’s expressions were not sincere, and she said: “I don’t know if it was really stolen or if it is a trend, but crying and expressions suggest a lack of seriousness.”

As for the activist Iman, she commented sarcastically: “Ok, my day, there are drops that the actors use when they act out a scene in which they cry. I advise you to put them so that when you cry again, there will be tears.”

On the other hand, tweeter Ahmed drew attention to travel insurance and wrote: “There is something called travel insurance. I am surprised by the Arabs who travel with expensive things once, hours and thousands of clothes, and what they take.”

As for the singer Qarwash, he commented, “The hotels cooperate with the thief and the police, and each of them has his share of theft, because whoever becomes a natural blown.”

In turn, the activist Fahid Al-Obeidi wrote: “They show off in front of the poor and the gangs expensive and expensive holdings. Of course, this will be the result.”

It is noteworthy that Yumi is not the only one who was stolen in Cannes, France, where before that, the Lebanese beauty and fashion expert Joelle Mardinian was robbed of her house, and the thieves stole six luxury bags, watches and jewelry from her.

It should be noted that the theft rate in Cannes is 0.41%, meaning that 41 people out of every 1,000 inhabitants are subject to theft, and the population in Cannes is 75,000.
