Verdict which was brought down by the court Arab Saudi This was confirmed by the Indonesian representative in Saudi Arabia through the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah. The Saudi Arabian authorities have passed the decision which was read out on January 2, 2023 and the Indonesian citizen is currently in prison.
“We have received the information and the person concerned (Said) has been detained and sentenced to two years plus a fine of 50,000 real and the penalty for reporting it in a local newspaper. Then the cost of reporting will be charged to the defendant,” said the accused.
Spokesperson for the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah, Ajad Sudrajad in his statement quoted on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
Ajad explained that the alleged harassment case was carried out by Said while performing tawaf at the Grand Mosque. At that time, Said was suspected of harassing her by pressing her body and hands into the breasts of the female congregation from Lebanon.
“So Muhammad Said, according to the results of the BAP, confessed that he had approached a woman from Lebanon from behind. And according to witnesses from the police at the Grand Mosque, he held the Lebanese congregation’s breasts, which was then witnessed by two people,” said Ajad
Ajad said that Said had denied this statement during the trial. However, the judge did not consider it because there was a confession during the investigation. Plus there were two security personnel at the Grand Mosque who saw Said stick his body against the body of the congregation umrah Lebanese origin.
