NNA – The youth basketball team participating in the U-19 World Championship in Hungary suffered a heavy loss against Spain 20-102, this afternoon, at the opening of the round of 16.
The national team lost its three matches in the first round against Lithuania, Madagascar and the United States, respectively.
Later, the Lebanese Basketball Federation announced that it had accepted the resignation of national team coach Charbel Al-Bash, which he submitted after the match against Spain today, Wednesday, in the Round of 16. His assistant, Serbian coach Vinko Bakic, was assigned the duties of the first coach who will lead the Cedars team in the ranking matches.
