Egyptian Actress Elham Shaheen Celebrates Murex d’Or Honor, Praises Lebanon
Acclaimed Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen was honored at the prestigious Murex d’or awards ceremony in Lebanon on Saturday, December 21, 2024. The event, attended by a galaxy of Arab stars, saw Shaheen receive an award, prompting an emotional and heartfelt acceptance speech.
Taking the stage to thunderous applause, Shaheen greeted the audience before sharing her thoughts. “I always say that I have Lebanese genes,” she declared, “as 90% of my personality is mine, and Lebanon is a stubborn people who know how to turn sorrows into positives, who know how to turn problems into positives.”
Her speech continued wiht a powerful message of hope and unity. “Lebanon knows how to create joy,” she stated. “Its culture is the culture of life, and this is the most gorgeous thing about you. You are a real, beautiful people who love peace, love life, love the arts, and this is the common thing between the Lebanese people and the Egyptian people, and I feel that we are two peoples closest to each other in the Arab world, oh Lord. Lebanon and Egypt are always together in all the tough and good times, and God willing, the year 2025 is very optimistic and will be a year of peace, prosperity and goodness for Lebanon.” she concluded with a festive, ”Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and God willing, a happy New Year to all of you.I love you with all my heart.”
Shaheen’s appearance at the Murex d’Or comes as she prepares for the upcoming Ramadan 2025 television season. She is set to star in the series “Sayed El Nas” alongside Amr Saad.
