Member of the “Democratic Gathering” bloc, Representative Raji Al-Saad, indicated, “We were waiting for the Lebanese judiciary to move automatically to hold accountable those who harm Lebanon’s relations with its Arab brothers, specifically the Gulf countries and the Emirates in particular, after… The offensive campaign in the yellow newspaper is against a country that has provided much to Lebanon at all levels, and embraces tens of thousands of Lebanese who contribute to its renaissance and to supporting their country, Lebanon as well.”
He pointed out, in a statement on social media, that “it seems, as usual, that the agendas of the resistance axis have no place for higher Lebanese interests.” He expressed his condemnation and denunciation of “this despicable campaign,” calling on the judiciary to “take immediate action to hold those responsible for it and those behind them accountable,” stressing “our full solidarity with the leadership and people of the Emirates.”
