Lebanese Olympic Committee Considers Jalakh’s Meeting Illegal

The Lebanese Olympic Committee, headed by George Abboud, considered what was issued by Jalakh’s meeting in Marina Dbayeh illegal.

The Chairman of the Committee, Abboud, and after consulting with the members of the Executive Committee, issued the following statement:

The so-called General Assembly, which was held on Monday afternoon, 2/23/5, headed by the suspended former committee chairman, Boutros Jalakh, is “illegal” because the invitation to it is illegal and is marred by many violations. Everything that is built on falsehood is false.

The former chairman of the committee is suspended and a decision was issued against him by the executive committee in this regard, and therefore he has no legal capacity. Therefore, we consider his move today as an impersonation and usurpation of the Executive Committee’s authority.

Everything that came out of this meeting is invalid and has no effects on all levels, as if it did not happen.

Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Lebanese Olympic Committee will take appropriate measures against the violators.
