Lebanese MP Ghiyath Yazbek’s Concerns About Tourism and Border Developments

Member of the “Strong Republic” bloc, MP Ghiyath Yazbek, pointed out that “Lebanon has emptied of tourism due to developments on the border.”

In an interview with Al-Jadeed, he added, “The south is witnessing systematic burning in sympathy with the disaster we have been experiencing since 2019.”

He continued, “Mikati’s position on Hezbollah’s rationality is the height of fawning.”

He added, “The American arrived in Lebanon to support Israel and deliver messages to those concerned in the region that Israel is a red line.”

He continued, “The battle is real and present, and I support Sayyed Nasrallah by saying, ‘Look at the field.'”

In turn, member of the Democratic Gathering Bloc, MP Bilal Abdullah, stressed that “the right situation lies in the decision of peace and war being in the hands of the state, and we appealed to Hezbollah not to lure Lebanon into war.”

He said: “All attempts to cease fire in Gaza have failed and we must avoid battle, but if the enemy imposes it on us, ‘what should we do’?”

He pointed out that “it is not possible to anticipate matters on the field, and the desire for escalation comes from the Israeli side.”
