Lebanese journalist Nidal Al-Ahmadiyeh responds to criticism over her comments about Syrian refugees

The Lebanese journalist, Nidal Al-Ahmadiyeh, responded for the first time to the attack she was subjected to, following her recent statements, in which she recounted an incident she had with a Syrian refugee working in Lebanon who did not recognize “chocolate” and a conversation took place between them, which many described as “offensive” to the Syrian refugees.

Nidal’s response came during her comment on a post by the Syrian actor Adnan Abu Al-Shamat on the subject, as the latter published a video clip in which he said: “The struggle of civilization is not measured by chocolate, not today as a joke. When I was talking to my daughter in Italy, she speaks six languages. I told her, Dad, do you know what? I mean, chocolate didn’t tell me no.

And Adnan continued, directing his message to Nidal to Ahmadiya: “Imagine 6 languages, you don’t know what I mean by chocolate.”

For her part, Nidal replied, according to what was reported in Al Jaras magazine, saying: “The professor who made the clip is Faisal Al Qassem. Mr”.

And Nidal continued: “I replied to you, Professor, from the bell account, and I reply from my account and my kisses to your daughter and all your family, and to all the Syrians who refused to lead the bell, attended the episode, and changed their minds… Peace.”
