Today, there was renewed mutual bombardment on the Lebanese-Israeli border between the Israeli occupation army on the one hand, and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other hand.

The occupation army announced that two mortar shells had fallen on open land inside Israeli areas, after monitoring their firing from Lebanon, indicating that it responded with artillery shelling at the sources of the fire, without specifying the targeting location.

Hezbollah also announced that it targeted a Zionist infantry force at the Al-Dhahira site with missiles, causing a number of direct casualties. It also targeted the Israeli Al-Marj site opposite the town of Markaba in southern Lebanon.

Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari confirmed that an anti-tank missile had fallen in the Natova area, wounding two people.

Israeli Army Radio said that 18 shells were fired from Lebanese territory towards the Arab Al-Aramsha area in the Upper Galilee, where sirens sounded, and the army asked residents of towns near the border to remain in shelters until further notice.

Rocket and artillery bombardment

Israeli media also reported the firing of mortar shells and an exchange of fire in the Margaliot area in the eastern sector of the border with Lebanon.

The Al Jazeera correspondent reported that an Israeli artillery bombardment targeted the vicinity of the towns of Alma Al-Shaab, Al-Dhahira and Al-Jabain, in addition to another bombing on the vicinity of the Labouneh area in the western sector of southern Lebanon.

In another incident, the Israeli army said that its forces attacked an armed cell that was spotted in the Beranit area on the border with Lebanon last night.

Since the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the start of the aggression against Gaza, the Lebanese-Israeli border has witnessed an escalation of tension and intermittent mutual bombardment between the Israeli army and the resistance factions in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the occupation army continues its devastating war on Gaza for 38 days, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 11,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 28,000.
