fuchsia –

The Lebanese fashion designer, Ghinwa Fakih, revealed that she was subjected to violence by her husband before the divorce, noting that she was subjected to harmful beatings from him permanently and for unimportant reasons.

Fakih said, upon her appearance with the media, Rabia Al-Zayyat, on the “Show the Story” program, that she got married at the age of 21, and her marriage came after her return from travel, adding, “There was no love, but rather because of the interest that my husband showed in me during that period.”

She emphasized that her marriage took place quickly, and she was unable to study her decision well, pointing out that after a time of marriage had passed, it became clear that he was a bad person; He hit her for the first time for a simple reason, and he did not take into account that she was pregnant, and he used to apologize to her after he hit her.

Fakih did not control herself during the episode. As she started crying when she talked about her husband’s abuse of her, which went so far as to beat her in the street in front of people.

Difficult circumstances in motherhood

She added that she was determined to stay with him for the sake of their daughter, but she reached a stage where she could not live under these circumstances, with her fear that her child would be affected, especially when she was watching her when she was beaten.

She explained that she faced great suffering, until she was able to reach a divorce, as her husband set a condition that the child remain with him and deprive her of her.

Entering the world of fashion design

She pointed out that after going through the crisis at the beginning of her life, she decided to build a name for herself and a future for great success, and she started drawing and designing simple fashions, because she did not have much money.

She added that she started working at her home, and her fame became gradually and rapidly increasing, as she made more profits from the costumes she designed.

And she confirmed that she was able, in a short time, to design the most beautiful outfits, and she had a great name and fame in this field.

She indicated that in the next stage she is preparing for a fashion show, and is inspired by the ideas of her designs from the costumes that she used to see in Africa, hoping to reach the world in the next stage.

She indicated that every woman must turn her suffering into a success story, not appear broken and weak.
