Lebanese basketball star Fadi Al-Khatib announces his retirement with a touching message
Lebanese basketball star Fadi Al-Khatib, one of the best Arab players in the history of the game, announced his final retirement.
Al-Khatib said in a post he posted on Tuesday, on his official page on “Instagram”: “In life everything ends, so my advice to you is to enjoy every second, and make sure that you do so happily. Basketball will always be in my heart.”
The player’s career with basketball began with the Lebanese team Al-Hikma in 1997, and he belonged to Al-Ittihad, Al-Riyadi, Chanville and Humannet teams, and he also played outside Lebanon in the Syrian league, the Ukrainian league, and the Chinese league.
Fadi Al-Khatib played for 20 years with the Lebanese national basketball team between 1999 and 2017, when he announced his retirement from international football with his country.
