Lebanese after fixing the price of the lira: “The money has become worthless.”

The Banque du Liban has set a new official rate for the exchange of the lira against the dollar, as one dollar has become equal to fifteen thousand pounds.

Although the new official price remains much lower than the price traded in the parallel market and will not have a significant impact on the ground – it is a first step towards trying to unify the exchange rate of the lira.
