LEAVE squad Indonesian National Team U-23 from SEA Games 2021, Saddil Ramdani became the hero of Sabah FC’s 2-1 victory over Kelantan United in the second round of the 2022 Malaysian FA Cup, Friday 13 May 2022 evening WIB. Just to note, Saddil Ramdani defended the U-23 Indonesian National Team in the initial two games of Group A of the 2021 SEA Games.
He appeared as a starter when the Indonesian U-23 national team lost 0-3 to Vietnam. Then when the U-23 Indonesian national team won 4-1 over Timor Leste, Saddil Ramdani dropped in 46 minutes, plus recorded an assist for Witan Sulaeman’s goal.
Unfortunately, Saddil Ramdani could not assist in the remaining two matches of the Garuda Muda squad in the 2021 SEA Games group phase. For example, when they met the Philippines U-23 National Team and the U-23 Myanmar National Team.
In accordance with the agreement with Sabah FC, Saddil Ramdani must return to his club after the match against Timor Leste on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Because Saddil Ramdani’s energy is needed for the next two matches of Sabah FC which will take place in the next seven days.
On Friday 13 May 2022, Sabah FC will face Kelantan United in the second round of the 2022 Malaysian FA Cup. Then on Tuesday 17 May 2022, Sabah FC is scheduled to travel to Pulau Pinang headquarters in the ninth week of the 2022 Malaysian Super League.
The first hurdle has been crossed. Last night, Sabah FC met Kelantan United in the second round of the 2022 Malaysian FA Cup. After going through 90 minutes of the match, Sabah FC and Kelantan United were both 1-1.
Sabah FC took the lead via Taiki Kagayama in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, in the 67th minute, Kelantan United equalized through the action of Jacob Njoku. Luckily, Saddil Ramdani emerged as the differentiator in the extra time of 2×15 minutes.
After passing two people, Saddil Ramdani’s hard left foot shot from outside the penalty box glided smoothly to the left of the Kelantan United goal. The score was 2-1 for Sabah FC’s advantage and lasted until the game was over.
Now the question is, when will Saddil Ramdani return to the U-23 Indonesian National Team? Since on May 17, 2022, he is still strengthening Sabah FC, Saddil Ramdani will only return if the U-23 Indonesian National Team qualify for the semifinals SEA Games 2021.
Indonesian National Team U-23 Qualify for the 2021 SEA Games semifinals if at least they play a draw when they meet Myanmar in the final group stage match on Sunday, 15 May 2022 at 16.00 WIB. The 2021 SEA Games semifinals will take place on Thursday, 19 May 2022.
