While waiting for a positive outcome in the negotiation for Zahavio Botafogo received the indication of a very famous name in the ball market. According to journalist Venê Casagrande, in his column on the website of the newspaper “O Dia”, Dries Mertensa 35-year-old Belgian striker, was offered and is being well rated internally.
Mertens will not renew his contract with Napoli, a club he has been defending since 2013, and will be free on target. The player is in the sights of other clubs, such as Lazio. The Belgian’s name reached the alvinegra board through Brazilian intermediaries who were authorized by the player to negotiate with Botafogo.
