GEORGE Amat officially left the club that was playing in the Belgian League, KAS Eupen. The club confirms Jordi Amat will continue his career at Indonesian League after his contract expires on 30 June 2022.
“Team captain Jordi Amat will be leaving KAS Eupen. The 30-year defender’s contract expires on June 30 and will not be renewed. Jordi Amat said goodbye to the team this Monday and plans to continue his career in Indonesia,” wrote KAS Eupen on their official website.
For your information, Jordi Amat is one of three descent players who are being naturalized to become Indonesian citizens (WNI). The other two names are Sandy Walsh and Shayne Pattynama.
Jordi Amat and his friends are targeted to be able to defend the Indonesian national team in the third round of the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification. This event will take place in Kuwait on 8-14 June 2022.
“This player from Spain has applied for Indonesian citizenship and is a candidate for the Indonesian national team,” continued Eupen’s KAS statement.
Jordi Amat since 2019 has defended KAS Eupen. During his three seasons there, Jordi Amat scored two goals and provided two assists in 86 matches.
