After nearly 20 years in Congress, Republican Devin Nunes will lead Truth Social.

In October, it emerged that former President Donald Trump’s planned social media shall be called Truth Social.
On Monday, the company’s new top manager was also hired. And it’s none other than the Republican Party’s leading member of the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee, Devin Nunes.
It reports the news agency Reuters.
Nunes has been a part of Congress since 2002. Monday it became known that he changes pastures.
Trump defender
During Trump’s presidency from 2017 to 2021, Nunes repeatedly moved out with the support of Trump:
- He was among the loudest defenders of Trump when Russia’s interference in the 2016 election was investigated.
- He voted against approving Joe Biden as president after the 2020 election as a result of Trump’s allegations of electoral fraud.
–It is also not certain that the Republican would have been re-elected in California. US media reports that new constituencies could tip the Democrats’ candidate ahead of Nunes.
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), which owns Truth Social, announces that the new top manager will start in January.
In connection with the appointment, Donald Trump says that Nunes “understands that we must stop the liberal media and technology companies from destroying the freedom that makes the United States what it is.”
Trump was thrown out of a number of social media, including Facebook and Twitter, after the storming of Congress on January 6 this year.
– I created Truth Social and TMTG to resist the tyranny of the technology giants. We live in a world where the Taliban has a large presence on Twitter, and yet your favorite president in the United States has been silenced to death. This is unacceptable, Trump has previously said about the bans.
