Amid rumors that Ayda Field Williams can replace Lisa Rina et Diana Jenkins au The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a light was shed on his professional and personal life. The 43-year-old Turkish-American actress has been acting since 1998 but got her starring role in days of our lives playing Angela Moroni between 2000 and 2001. She then starred in 2006 Studio 60 on the Sunset Journey and the sitcom back to you between 2007 and 2008. She also notably judged on the 2018 season of The UK X factor.
When she’s not in front of the cameras, she’s the doting mother of four: daughters Theodora10, et Colette4 and sons Charlton8 et beau3. Ayda shares her children with the British singer Robbie Williamswhom she married in 2010. Read on to learn more about their marriage.
How Ayda Williams and Robbie Williams Met
Ayda started dating Grammy-nominated musician Robbie Williams, 48, in 2007 after a rocky start. The actress and television personality revealed during a September 2020 interview on the Made by moms podcast that Robbie asked her over lunch, but when the day of the date came around, he completely ghosted her. However, she decided to give him a second chance. “We end up making a plan. All I will say is that it was the weirdest, craziest, rockstar, popstar, craziest first date. And in the end, I was totally in love,” she exclaimed, adding that she was “super impressed” with her tattoos.
Speaking in more depth about their instant connection, she recalled, “The universe opened up and I totally and completely understood who this man was and he totally and completely understood who I was… It was a moment electric. I felt like I had known him all my life. ” How nice!
Despite their deep bond, their relationship hasn’t always been smooth. The couple appeared on loose women in 2016, and Ayda revealed that Robbie broke up with her three times before getting married. The Take that A member revealed in an August 2018 Instagram post that he proposed to Ayda with a deck of cards. “Every time I thought of Ayda and drew a card from a deck it would always be a queen so I took her to where I first laid eyes on her and her gave four queens,” he wrote. “Each card said one word each. Would you marry me?”
The couple walked down the aisle in August 2010 at the British star’s Mulholland Estates home in Beverly Hills. It came as a surprise to the 60 friends and family they invited, who thought they were coming to a James Bond Casino Royale themed party to celebrate Robbie’s successful career. Robbie said Bonjour! that it was difficult for him to keep the secret, but he managed to do it.
They have worked together many times
Robbie and Ayda work so well together that they really love working together. That’s right — Ayda has starred in two music videos for her husband: 2009’s “Bodies” and 2017’s “Mixed Signals,” per IMDb. Additionally, Robbie also served as X factor judge in 2018. “The fact that I work with Rob and against him is fantastic!” Ayda gushed on ITV at the time.
Ayda gave Robbie a new goal
Robbie struggled with depression and drug addiction in his thirties, but said Ayda inspired him to turn his life around in a September 2015 interview with Chris Evans‘ Radio 2 breakfast showpar Bbc. “Before children and wife, [my career] was not just a job. I was trying to fill all the voids that were in my soul. And that made no sense. I got to the top of the mountain and it was like, ‘Ow, I’m still in pain,’” he candidly recalls.
“Then the wife came, then the kids came, and now everything makes sense…because souls depend on me,” he continued. “My wife depends on me, my children depend on me. I have no excuses to go off the rails, to maybe not come to this interview, to watch what I say. It is a blessing.
Ayda and Robbie had two children through surrogacy
As stated above, the happy couple share four children. Their two youngest, Collette and Beau, were born via surrogate after experiencing fertility issues. When Collete was born, Ayda posted the Instagram photo below and talked about her surrogacy journey. “It’s been a very long and hard road to get here, that’s why we’ve kept it low,” she wrote. “Family comes in all its forms, and this little lady, who is biologically ours, was carried by an incredible surrogate, to whom we will be forever grateful. We are thrilled to have this beautiful baby girl in our lives and so blessed that we live in a world that makes this possible. As with Teddy and Charlie, we ask that you respect Coco’s privacy and allow us to grow into our new team of 5!
They celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in 2020
“She brings out the best in me. She’s incredibly caring and makes me want to be a better person,” Robbie said. Bonjour! magazine while reflecting on their wedding day and getting married in honor of their decade together.
Speaking about the special day, he added, “Ayda looked like the most beautiful girl in the world. The setting was so magical, and being surrounded by my family and close friends, and then seeing Ayda looking so radiant, was almost too much for me. When I walked down the aisle with our dogs and heard everyone cheering, it made me so emotional that I’m surprised I held on. I am the happiest man in the world.
