Learn all about Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone

How the Hazard Zone works in Battlefield 2042

After so many rumors and leaked information that had not been confirmed, EA and DICE have officially unveiled the new mode of Battlefield 2042 o Hazard Zone.

The story begins in the game’s 2040, when a global blackout event suddenly reduces the number of satellites by about 70%. From that moment on, the US and Russia began launching so-called temporary satellites to collect information such as aerial photos, heat map images, identity scanning and much more.

These satellites are then taken down so that the Occupying Forces can collect the collected information. However, the playable No-Pats characters seek this information for their own safety and send task forces to retrieve it.

How does it work

In a four-man platoon, locate and retrieve critical data drives scattered across the battlefield, while taking on platoons with the same objective and occupying force. Succeed in gathering data drives and deciding the exact time to extract, before the storm takes over the area in this unique, high-risk experience. Every bullet, every conflict and every decision counts.

You and your platoon will be inserted with a mission: secure capsules and recover the data drives inside them. Beware of rival platoons that share the same objective and occupying forces that protect the content with their own lives.
Recovering data drives is one thing, but securing them long enough to reach extraction is another. Two extraction windows are available per match at random locations. You’ll need to use all your skill, tactical planning, and maybe a little luck to get out alive.

Big risks can lead to big rewards, and the Hazard Zone offers both in abundance. The more information you collect, the more EXP and Underground Credits you will receive. More Credits will generate better gear for you and your squad in the next match.
