The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) has already scheduled the payments it will make during the month of December to all its beneficiaries.
The food program provides monthly deposits to millions of low-income households in the United States (US).
The maximum amount that some families can receive is up to $1,756 dollars. In states like Alaska, thanks to the cost of living adjustment (COLA), the figure is up to $3,516 for families with eight members.
SNAP Payment Distribution
The financial aid is intended to cover expenses when purchasing foods approved by the SNAP coupon program.
Payments begin to be distributed from the 1st of each month and the corresponding amount is assigned, based on the size of the members of the household.
Each state has its mechanism for assigning the deposit date for these monthly benefits. So the date and amounts may vary from state to state in the US.
