ROME – Argentinian footballer Leandro Paredes transferred from Paris St. Germain to the Italian team AS Rome. The Serie A participant signed a contract with the twenty-nine-year-old midfielder until June 30, 2025, paying 2.5 million euros for him.
“Coming back to Rome is always a special thing. I would like to thank the management for bringing me back to the club where I started my career in Europe. Last year was extremely happy for me when I won the world title. I want to continue to achieve success and I am convinced that I will succeed with this team.” Paredes told the club’s official website.

The Argentine came through the youth ranks at Boca Juniors, originally arriving in Rome in the summer of 2014 after a short spell at Chieva. Paredes spent two seasons at the club, but during one he was a guest at Empoli. In 2017, he transferred to Zenit St. Petersburg and after two years he headed to PSG. Last season he was a guest at Juventus, played 35 duels and scored one goal.
“As soon as Leandro learned of our interest, he made it clear that his goal was to return to Roma. His strong will convinced us even more that we should bring him back. We are happy to see him back in the colors of Roma “ said Roma’s general manager Tiago Pinto.
