The blood-brain barrier has a similar structure to the intestinal barrier and is directly related to the intestinal flora. A leaky brain can also occur as a result of a leaky gut. The cause is often an unfavorable diet with sugar, sweeteners, flavors, colorings, trans fats, gluten and alcohol, chronic lack of sleep, stress and psychological stress. If there is a suspicion of a leaky brain, the intestinal health should first be restored. In addition to avoiding inflammation-promoting foods, this also includes consuming vitamin D, zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants and probiotics. Radiation sources such as WLAN routers should be switched off at least at night so that the body can regenerate while sleeping.
