Now, the hackers want the world to know that they regret the act of leaking the data because they have only just realized there is a very powerful person in it.

Among the data leaked by Conti, there are file sensitive property of celebrities such as David Beckham, Oprah Winfrey, and Donald Trump. There is also, according to the hackers themselves, information belonging to the Royal families of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

“We found that our sample data was not properly reviewed before being uploaded to the blog,” the hackers wrote in their announcement The Times, Monday (8/11/2021).

“Conti guarantees that any information relating to family members of Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar will be deleted without any exposure and review.”

“Our team apologizes to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman and every other member of the royal family whose names are mentioned in the publication for the inconvenience,” the hackers added.

The hackers also said that apart from publishing the data on their site, they do not sell or trade it, and from now on they will implement a more rigid data review process for any future operations.
