The Krefeld fire brigade was on duty at the Compo company in the Rheinhafen on July 11th.

At around 5:00 p.m., nitrous gases briefly escaped in one of the company’s production halls for reasons that have not yet been clarified.

The alerted emergency services secured the hall and treated five company employees who had come into contact with the chemicals. They were taken to a hospital as a precaution, but no one was injured.

According to a spokesman for the fire brigade, measurements on site revealed no further dangers, which is why the production hall could be reopened.
