A number of rumors from the Call of Duty community about Modern Warfare 2 Remastered have predicted a release date.
TheGamingRevolution leaker and youtuber is a source of these rumors, having correctly predicted or disclosed a number of CoD features before they were official – like the Modern Warfare Skirmish mode – in the past.
He has been criticized by Infinity Ward for fabricating information in the past, but has since discussed Warzone in detail, much of which has proven to be accurate.
In a March 12 tweet, he provided a list of games under development at Activision, the publisher of Call of Duty.
Among other games, TGR claims that Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will arrive, alongside a free CoD game developed by Sledgehammer Games. These will be added to the CoD 2020 game, which will be developed by Treyarch.
He also completed his tweet to confirm that a “follow-up” to Modern Warfare is being developed.

When will MW2 remastered be released?
This would put the announcement in May or June, a little later than the time of year, we expect clues and CoD leaks regarding the next title in the series.
It’s unclear whether the remaster would be released alongside Treyarch’s CoD 2020, or be an independent game.
It’s coming this year. I expect official announcement / teaser in 2-3 months. Probably along with COD 2020 announcement but that’s an educated guess.

While this is unconfirmed, Okami correctly predicted a number of Warzone features, as well as the March 10 release date. This does not necessarily confirm their most recent claims, but provides evidence of a history.
