Before being launched in Indonesia, the Suzuki Grand Vitara had already been paved in India. There are many changes presented by Vitara when compared to the last model sold in Indonesia. One of them is the absence of tires attached to the rear trunk door.
From the outside, the Suzuki Grand Vitara looks sportier. Then for the interior, Maruti in India pinned gold accents and stitches in the same color as the seats. For added comfort, there are also ventilated seats for the front passenger.
In India, the Suzuki Grand Vitara is offered with two engine options. The first is the 1.5L Intelligent Electric Hybrid engine which has a pretty good fuel efficiency of 27.97 km/liter. This machine offers three choices of driving models such as EV, Eco, Power and Normal. This engine is paired with an e-CVT transmission. This machine is capable of producing a maximum power of 115.56 PS at 5,500 rpm and 136.8 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm.
Meanwhile, the other carries the 1.5 K-Series Dual Jet engine, Dual VVT with Progressive Smart Hybrid. This machine is equipped with Brake Energy Regeneration and Torque assist features and also Idle Stop Start. This combination makes fuel consumption more efficient, namely 21.11 km / liter.
Not yet known with certainty which machine will be brought on the Grand Vitara in Indonesia. It is also possible that both will be presented, because Suzuki has also started selling hybrid cars in the country through the Ertiga.
Regarding security, the Suzuki Grand Vitara in India is equipped with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program with Hill Hold Assist, 3-Point ELR seat belt, Rear Disc Brake, Hill Descent Control, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
