The well-known website Footy Headlines has published photos of the new FC Barcelona home shirt design for the 2023/2024 season. As journalists argue, several elements are inspired by the women’s team. However, the biggest controversy is caused by the away kits of the Catalans.

Barcelona’s new home kits. Back to the ’90s. A tribute to the women’s team
Footy Headlines has revealed what Barcelona’s home shirts will look like in the next competition. They will be very similar to those from 1992. There will be three wide, vertical stripes on the front: two maroon and one navy blue. In previous seasons, they were much narrower, but the club focused on returning to the classics. However, they will not end in the usual way.
The edge of each stripe will be diamond-shaped, which the portal believes is inspired by the old Barcelona women’s team logo. It doesn’t end there. The shirt will also feature the current Catalans logo, but with one change – a subtle diamond will be added that will be visible under the light, also to pay tribute to the Barcelona women’s team.
Great emotions aroused information about the away kit. Already in September 2022, the Catalan “Sport” reported that Xavi Hernandez’s team will decide on a white color scheme, which has so far been associated primarily with Real Madrid. It is worth noting that Barcelona already had the opportunity to play in such shirts about half a century ago, when Johan Cruyff was their footballer. Among others, in the 70s of the twentieth century, white leotards were the classic away kit of the Catalans.

We will find out in June what colors Barcelona will finally choose. Then the official kit for the 2023/24 season will be presented. For now, the runners-up of Spain are focused on competing in La Liga. The good news for Xavi is that as many as three injured players should return to the pitch in the next games – we are talking about Ousmane Dembele, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri. It was the lack of the last of these players that has plagued Barcelona in recent weeks, and Robert Lewandowski in particular.
