Photos of suspected new Toyota variant get moving Veloz GR (GR), which is believed to be launching soon in the country, is circulating in cyberspace. This car looks to have various exterior accessories that make it different from the original version.
One of the photos circulated on the social media account @indra_fathan. This account uploaded several photos of what appeared to be from the original brochure.
In the photo, the Veloz GR looks more sporty because it uses a new bumper that is different from the conventional design. Then the changes are also on the grille and the ornaments on the front and rear bumpers, including the ‘GR’ emblem.
Another difference is in the black mirrors and rims. The interior appearance also seems to be using black.
A salesperson at a Toyota dealer in Jakarta who did not want to be named said this car is likely to be released on August 9. Now the status can be ordered by giving a sign so Rp5 million.
“The launch seems to be on the 9th and orders have been opened,” he said.
Meanwhile, a salesperson from another Toyota dealer said that there was a price increase of around Rp. 15 million compared to the regular variant. However, the exact price cannot be stated because it is waiting for launch.
“The price is definitely not yet announced, but certainly there will be an increase,” he said.
Veloz will be the third car to use the GR emblem in Indonesia after the Supra sports car and the newcomer Raize.
Meanwhile the Yaris, 86, and Land Cruiser have also been sold globally with the same identity.
