Leaked iPhone 16 Pro Schematics Reveal Design Changes and Larger Screen
In the world of smartphones, leaks and rumors are a common occurrence. It seems like every day there’s a new report or image claiming to reveal the design and features of the next big device. Today, we have another leak to add to the mix – the iPhone 16 Pro schematics.
A source close to 91mobiles has leaked what appears to be a rough schematic of the iPhone 16 Pro. The images show the usual design we’ve come to expect from Apple’s flagship devices, but with some interesting changes. One notable alteration is the addition of a Capture Button, placed right under the power button on the right side of the frame.
This Capture Button is said to mimic the soft shutter buttons found on cameras. A light press will focus the camera, while a complete press will take a picture. This feature is not entirely new, as Sony phones had something similar in the past. However, it’s exciting to see Apple potentially adopting this functionality.
The leaked schematics also reveal new dimensions for the iPhone 16 Pro – 149.6 x 71.4 x 8.4 mm. This means that the device will be slightly taller and wider compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro. These dimensions align with an earlier report suggesting that the iPhone 16 Pro will come with a larger 6.3-inch screen, up from last year’s 6.1-inch panel.
The inclusion of a larger screen and slimmer bezels, as shown in the schematics, indicates that Apple might be going for a more immersive display experience with the iPhone 16 Pro. The decision to enlarge the smaller Pro model this year could be due to design constraints. There are rumors circulating that the iPhone 16 Pro will adopt last year’s iPhone 15 Pro Max’s tretraprism telephoto camera. This hardware might not fit inside the existing iPhone 15 Pro, hence the need for a larger form factor.
Interestingly, this leak contradicts a previously leaked image from February, which showed a vertical camera stack. It’s unclear which design Apple will ultimately go with, but it’s not uncommon for different leaks to present conflicting information. As always, it’s important to take these leaks with a grain of salt.
While the leaked schematics provide us with some insight into the potential design changes of the iPhone 16 Pro, we must remember that the actual release is still months away. Apple typically unveils its new iPhones in September, so we have plenty of time for more leaks and rumors to surface before then.
In the world of smartphones, leaks and rumors are all part of the excitement leading up to a new device launch. They fuel speculation and anticipation among tech enthusiasts and consumers alike. So, until Apple officially reveals the iPhone 16 Pro, let’s enjoy the thrill of these leaks while maintaining a healthy dose of skepticism.
