Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Apple is still silent about the existence of the iPhone 14, but leaks of the latest cellphone have been widely spread. One of them is the estimated price of the iPhone 14 line which is more expensive than its predecessor iPhone 13.
Dan Ives, head of popular analyst group Wedbush Securities, said the price hike was driven by supply chain prices. “We believe a $100 price increase will come for the iPhone 14,” he said, quoted from Forbes, Tuesday (19/7/2022).
“Prices have been increasing across the supply chain, and Cupertino (where Apple’s headquarters are located) needs to pass these costs on to consumers as of this release.”

But LeaksApplePro doubts this price claim. According to him, this year Apple is trying to widen the gap between Pro and non-Pro models, price is one way to do it.
“The difference between the iPhone 14 Max and the iPhone 14 Pro is huge,” said the leaker. “Apple is really trying to save as much money as possible with the production of the iPhone 14, so I don’t think the company is planning on raising the $100 that Wedbush talks about.”

Some say Apple will remove the notch and replace it with a double hole at the top of the screen. However, according to Forbes, it is estimated that the notch will still be present on non-pro iPhone 14 models.
