Germany’s football fans should wait until Friday for the league’s spectacular release of the Bundesliga fixture list. A DFL breakdown apparently ruined the plan. The schedule has been leaked.
Crazy! The Cologne fans already knew everything on Thursday! Against whom the FC coach Steffen Baumgart (51) has to play in which order from the start of the season (18-20 August) to the final sprint in May next year.
But the home game starts by Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt also came out through the leak.
In the end, the problem with the league is probably with FC, if the club already had the season plan and suspected of having forwarded it to the wrong places. According to BILD information, the league is not exactly amused.

According to the leaked document, Cologne must play runners-up Borussia Dortmund at the start of the season (18-20 August). After that, FC expects VfL Wolfsburg as the first home game opponent before it goes to Eintracht, against Hoffenheim and then to Bremen on the 5th matchday.
And Frankfurt also knows a little more than it should because of the leak: Because you’re hosting Cologne on the 3rd matchday, it’s clear that you have to go away on the 2nd matchday to alternate between home and away. And plays at home on the 1st matchday. Just not against whom.

The supposedly feasible tasks for Cologne against the promoted team only follow in the final sprint of the first and second half of the season. On the 13th match day Cologne has to go to Darmstadt – on the 17th match day in the RheinEnergie Stadium against Heidenheim.
Also interesting: Cologne will play the last games in 2023 in Freiburg and at Union Berlin. Long journeys before Christmas. Baumgart has to go to the carnival in Hoffenheim.
In addition, Cologne is not allowed to play in their own stadium either at the start of the season or at the end of the season on the 34th matchday.
