The engine is then paired to a five-speed manual transmission system or AMT gearbox and features cooled Dual jet, Dual VVT, ISS and EGR technology.

The new 2023 Suzuki Wagon R will be offered in LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ variants, while the CNG version, producing 52hp and 82Nm of torque will be limited to the LXi and VXi variants with a 1.0-litre powertrain. The Idle Start Stop (ISS) system will be standard across the range.

From the leaked images circulating, the 2023 Wagon R will have a different look, where the grille design now uses a thin chrome line, similar to Suzuki’s latest models. It also seems to have a choice of dual tone colors, turn signal lights in the rearview mirror, and also fog lamps.

For your information, the Wagon R was first launched in India back in 1999, and has been a solid performer for nearly two and a half decades for India’s largest automaker.

The Suzuki Wagon R model is currently offered in 11 variants. Sales figures for the Suzuki Wagon R decreased in February 2023, with only 16,889 units sold, resulting in a month-to-month decline of 17.48%. With the introduction of new emission standards in India, Suzuki is planning to update its very popular Wagon R hatchback model lineup to comply with tougher emission regulations.
