Apple is preparing to launch the next-generation iPhone 15 series, and as always, the company is expected to launch the iPhone 15 series in September. The upcoming iPhone 15 series is said to consist of four smartphones – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, and a new leak has appeared online revealing some potential details for the upcoming iPhone 15 series.

According to Apple industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may introduce the 48-megapixel rear camera in the affordable iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models, and Kuo adds that the company plans to incorporate a new sensor into smartphones that will help capture more light.

According to Kuo, Apple also solved productivity issues related to the latest CMOS image sensor (CIS) design. This feat was made possible by Sony, the sensor supplier, which increased its production capacity by 100-120% to meet Apple’s high demand. However, This increase in production for Apple significantly reduced the supply available to its Android partners.

What more can be expected from the iPhone 15 lineup

Aside from the upgraded camera, both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will feature the A16 Bionic chip, which is the same powerful chip found in the iPhone 14 Pro models. In addition, the standard iPhone 15 models will include a USB-C port, although It is uncertain whether it will have any speed restrictions.

The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models are not expected to have solid-state buttons due to design challenges, and the smartphones are said to feature a titanium frame and be powered by Apple’s own A17 Bionic chip paired with 8GB of RAM.
