Leak Reveals iPhone 15 Pro to Miss Out on Periscope Lens, iPhone 16 Pro to Get It in 2024

Apple has long been known for its innovative and cutting-edge technology. Whenever the tech giant releases a new product, it’s bound to make headlines. The latest buzz is about the highly anticipated iPhone 15, which is expected to be released later this year. However, recent rumors of the price tag for the new device have been causing quite the stir. In this article, we’ll dive into the details of Apple’s latest exclusive reveals and how the iPhone 15’s price shock is leaving some consumers in disbelief.

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are reportedly getting more expensive, but a leak suggests that the exclusion of a periscope lens from the iPhone 15 Pro is the biggest shock of all. Ming-Chi Kuo, a respected analyst, reveals that Apple will only equip the Pro Max with the periscope lens for optical zoom photography, unlike its rivals. Largan, the supplier of the module, will sell it to Apple for just $4, but will be unable to profit at that price. Interestingly, Apple will introduce periscope lenses for both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max in 2024, making this a one-generation feature difference. Furthermore, Apple’s decision to increase prices for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max by up to $200 while splitting their feature sets would be surprising, as the company has not done so since 2017. In 2023, Apple is expected to replace the volume buttons and mute switch with programmable Action buttons, renew its LiDAR push, introduce the first 3nm smartphone chip, and use record-breaking bezels in the design.

In an update, it was revealed that Apple’s display plans have taken a hit. Display Supply Chain Consultants CEO Ross Young claims that Apple’s plans for an under-display Face ID module in iPhone Pro models and ProMotion high refresh rate displays on standard iPhones have been postponed until 2025. This means that only the iPhone 17 Pro will have a larger Dynamic Island thanks to the hidden Face ID module, but all iPhone Pro models will have the front camera under the display in 2027. Standard iPhone models may have ProMotion in 2027 as well, giving Apple the opportunity to differentiate the iPhone Pro’s design with the under-display Face ID module.

In conclusion, the iPhone 15 price shock proves that Apple is constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology. While the price may be a surprise to many, it is a reflection of the quality and value that the iPhone offers. As we eagerly await the release of the iPhone 15 and explore its exciting new features, we are reminded of the importance of investing in technology that truly enhances our daily lives. With the iPhone 15, Apple has once again set the bar high and we can’t wait to see what other surprises they have in store.
