The supposed first details of “Battlefield 6” come from, among other things Comic Book reported by Tom Hendersonwho in the past was right several times, especially with his leaks for the “Call of Duty” series. On Twitter, he published possible insights into the upcoming multiplayer part of Electronic Arts’ first-person shooter, which suggest a Battle Royal orientation. However, since these are only unconfirmed rumors so far, the following information should be viewed with a certain amount of skepticism.

Starting from Hendersons first message the maps of “Battlefield 6” were designed by the developers with the idea in mind that 128 or more players could compete against each other. However, he adds that the 64-player mode known from the previous parts of the series will also be selectable again. Like him in one later published post emphasizes that this is the “core game”.
As Henderson also does in another tweet suggests that publisher Electronic Arts and developer studio DICE have a “growing interest in Battle Royal”. This be on the successes of the “Warzone” mode attributable to “Battlefield” competitor “Call of Duty”. There is currently no official confirmation for a Batte Royal mode in the upcoming “Battlefield”, but Henderson wonders whether EA could possibly release a Free-2-Play offshoot of its shooter series.
That was all the potential information Henderson could provide with his leaks. Time must tell whether these will ultimately apply. “Battlefield 6” is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and the PC, but a possible release date is not yet known.
