League summit firmly planned: This is how our 2014 heroes are celebrating their World Cup anniversary | sport

Even our world champions are taking a break from celebrating for this Bundesliga summit!

On the occasion of the tenth title anniversary, our 2014 world champions are spending a weekend together in South Tyrol. At that time, the team of national coach Jogi Löw (64) laid the foundation for the title in the “Golf & Spa Resort Andreus” hotel during World Cup preparations.

Now they have returned with their families and carers to properly honor their success in Rio with the final victory over Lionel Messi (37) and Argentina (1-0).

The program includes, among other things, a hut hike, a wine tasting and a golf tournament. Only on Saturday from 6.30 p.m. is an appointment blocked in the schedule for 90 minutes plus a half-time break. Because: Our world champions don’t want to miss the top game between champions Leverkusen and record champions FC Bayern, so they watch the game together in the hotel.

Oliver Bierhoff (56), team manager of the world champion team at the time, told BILD: “Bayern’s game against Leverkusen is firmly planned for us and we will watch it together in the hotel. We are pleased about the invitation from Hotel Andreus and that we were able to come again. That was a really special time for us back then.”

There will even be two players from the world champions in the squad for the game: Thomas Müller (35) and Manuel Neuer (38). Also unable to attend the World Cup weekend are the still active professionals Lukas Podolski (39), Mats Hummels (35), Mario Götze (32), Julian Draxler (31), Matthias Ginter (30), Ron-Robert Zieler (35) and Jerome Boateng (36). Miroslav Klose (46) is fulfilling his obligation as coach of 1. FC Nürnberg. There were also rejections from Bastian Schweinsteiger (40), Sami Khedira (37), Toni Kroos (34) and André Schürrle (33).

Captain Philipp Lahm (40) will be arriving this Friday. Per Mertesacker (39), Christoph Kramer (33) and Benedikt Höwedes (36) will also be there. Bierhoff, Löw and ex-goalkeeping coach Andi Köpke (62) have already undertaken their traditional bike tour.

However, due to the current bad weather, the planned bike tour will have to be canceled for the other world champions. So there’s even more time to watch football this Bundesliga weekend!
