The Arbitration Council of the Portuguese Football Federation informed that Carlos Macedo will be the referee for the match between Benfica and AVS, scheduled for Thursday (8:15 pm), relating to the third round of the League Cup.
The Braga Football Association referee will be assisted by Fábio Silva and José Pereira, with Anzhony Rodrigues acting as fourth referee. In the VAR will be Manuel Mota, assisted by Inácio Pereira.
In Group B, Benfica will only need a draw against AVS, the current leader of the Second League, to qualify. The Eagles, in fact, will even qualify if they lose by just one goal difference. In this scenario, the three teams would finish with three points, but Benfica would have a better goal difference than Arouca and AVS.
