The League Against Cancer launched its 2022 public collection this Wednesday, which will run until June 4 and will be 90% digital, since, unlike the last two years, there will be volunteers on foot in strategic areas of Lima.

The entity stated that The objective is to raise funds so that the institution continues to carry out free prevention actions in less favored citizens.such as preventive screenings, educational programs on healthy lifestyles and informative talks on cancer prevention.

“We know that in Peru the cancer It was already the leading cause of death. This disease does not stop, it continues to increase and it is possible that at the end of the year the figures will be even more devastating. In 2021 alone, more than 70,000 new cases and nearly 35,000 deaths were recorded. Therefore, through our national public collection we seek to change the future of this disease in our country, and we call on all Peruvians to help us fulfill this mission, donating until June 4”, said Adolfo Dammert, president of the League Against Cancer.

The League Against Cancer This year it will have volunteers, who will promote the collection virtually through their social networks, and also in person with their collection cans.

On the central days of the public collection, May 25 and 26, the volunteers will take to the streets with their collection cans, as in previous years, to go through the main avenues encouraging the donation.

Likewise, the League Against Cancer presented its advertising campaign called “Let’s change the future of cancer”with which it seeks to make known that although the cancer is a disease that continues to increase with a high incidence of cases and mortality, now you can act to change that future with a donation to the public collection 2022.
