League 1 Results: Wild draw, Persik vs Malut United

Persik Kediri played out a goalless draw against Malut United in a fierce match in the third week of Liga 1 2024/2025 at Brawijaya Stadium, Kediri, Sunday afternoon (25/8) WIB.

Malut United was the first team to get a chance in the fifth minute. Striker Jorge Correa fired a shot towards goal that did not yield a goal.

Persik responded six minutes later. Ze Valente fired a hard shot that didn’t give the hosts a goal either.

After that, the duel between the two teams was tough. The defensive control shown by both teams meant that Persik and Malut United could not score a goal until the end of the first half.

In the second half, Fergonzi fired a header from a good distance after receiving a corner kick. However, Fergonzi’s header was still over Malut United’s crossbar.

Malut United responded in the 77th minute. Malut United center Wahyu Prasetyo fired a header at the far post with a free kick but it was still blocked by Persik goalkeeper Leonardo Navacchio.

Fergonzi had another chance to put Persik ahead in the 85th minute. He fired a shot as he entered the penalty box which was brilliantly blocked by goalkeeper Muhammad Fahri.

Persik had another golden opportunity towards the end of the second half. Hamra Hehanussa’s header towards the goal was blocked by Manahati Lestusen who threw the ball to miss the goal.

Fahri made another brilliant save in injury time in the second half. Ezra Walian’s hard shot in the penalty box was blocked by Fahri with one hand.
