“Leadership Meeting to Decide Government as Promyanata-DB and GERB Negotiate”

A leadership meeting will decide the government. This was announced by Desislava Atanasova after today’s five-hour negotiations between the working groups of “Promyanata”-DB and GERB.

The issue of a cabinet will be the topic of leadership meetings between GERB and PP-DB in the coming days, explained Desislava Atanasova.

This will be the first meeting of Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev with Boyko Borisov. Last week, Borisov held leadership meetings with the chairmen of the DPS, BSP and ITN parliamentary groups. He visited Mustafa Karadai, Kornelia Ninova and Toshko Yordanov.

The big goal of the leadership meeting will be a constitutional majority for judicial reform. The DPS first insisted on it last week. The movement has a bill submitted to the National Assembly in the previous National Assembly. GERB immediately said YES. PP-DB first announced that a change in the constitution was not on the agenda, then they agreed.

GERB remain firm in their position that they will not adopt a budget without a cabinet.

Behind every budget is politics. And this issue is not budgetary, but political, because this is the most political document. Yes, we are convinced that there should be a regular government to protect its budget and implement through it the policies for which it finds agreement in a future administration, Desislava Atanasova explained.
