Leaders of US, Japan, and South Korea to Meet at Camp David: Enhancing Alliance and Addressing Key Issues

China.com, August 18th, according to the NHK report, at around 19:00 local time on the 17th, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida arrived in the United States and will attend the event tomorrow (18th local time) at Camp David, the presidential resort in Maryland, USA. The leaders of the United States, Japan and South Korea met.

According to reports, the meeting of the leaders of the United States, Japan and South Korea will be the first time that the leaders of the United States, Japan and South Korea will hold a separate tripartite meeting outside of an international meeting.

During the meeting, U.S. President Biden will discuss with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yue to further enhance the U.S.-Japan-South Korea alliance, and exchange views on core issues such as promoting military cooperation among the three parties in the Indo-Pacific region, peninsula issues, and economic and security cooperation.
