Leaders of European countries condemn today’s attack on the Ukrainian city of Poltava, in which, according to local authorities, almost 50 people died

Representatives of European countries condemn today’s attack on the Ukrainian city of Poltava, in which, according to local authorities, nearly 50 people died. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Putin’s brutality knew no bounds, and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy called the strike a disgusting act of aggression.

Poland promised support to Ukraine. Czech politicians also condemned the strike.

In the strike on the city of Poltava, 49 people died today, according to the afternoon balance sheet of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, and up to 18 more people could be trapped under the rubble. Over 200 people are injured. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russian missiles hit an educational institution and a nearby hospital. This is the least tragic air attack on Ukraine this year.

“Putin’s Brutality Knows No Boundaries,” she stated German Foreign Minister Baerbock. According to her, Russian President Vladimir Putin must “account for” these actions.

Russia’s strikes on Poltava are the latest (in a series of) heinous acts of aggression in Putin’s repulsive and illegal war in Ukraine,” stated British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, who expressed support for the attacked country.

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine in a statement. “Russia must be held accountable for its actions,” Polish diplomacy said, writes the PAP agency. (ČTK)
