EDITORIAL.- The concept of ‘Global Health’ is gradually becoming more relevant. The interconnection between human, animal and environmental health is evident and therefore requires multisectoral coordination to combat threats to public health arising from their relationships. Under this premise, the Bamberg Foundation organizes, on March 21, the ‘Cumbre One Health 2023’ to debate, analyze and propose solutions to the upcoming health challenges.
The event, which will bring together policy makers, public officials, those responsible for European and global health, both human and animal, will cover the social determinants of health that condition and influence health, the demographic challenge posed by migration and the transit between countries for reasons of trade, business or tourism, as well as lThe world’s vaccination needs. Consequently, the problems of bacterial multiresistance to antibiotics and how to combat viruses will be discussed. Finally, nutrition will be discussed and how it can be beneficial or detrimental to human health.
The summit is structured in five blocks thematic:
- One Health and Global Health
- Environmental Health and Sustainability
- The Importance of Animal Health
- Epidemiology, Vaccination and World Health
- Agriculture, Food Production and Human Health
To respond to all this, we will bring together, in this One Health Summit, political leaders, public officials, those responsible for European and global health, both human and animal.
