The project has been on the table for many months now. Going from a Ligue 1 to 20 to a championship at 18 for the 2022/2023 season is debated in the world of professional football and in particular in Ligue 2 that should not be forgotten in the project. “The arguments developed, the absence of precise information on the positions of the broadcasters with regard to us on next season, and the method employed do not allow all the L2 clubs to determine themselves within such short deadlines” may -on in particular read.
“It is premature to settle such an important reflection in two swings of the spoon. As long as the problem of TV rights is not resolved, it will not change anything to play at 18, 20 or 40 ”explains Christian Leca, president of AC Ajaccio and spokesperson for L2.
