The 17th round of the Premier League took place from 26 to 28 December local time.
Summary of section 17
Arsenal’s leaders showed they were losing momentum after the break. Also in the match against West Ham he creates chances from the first half, but the first goal is taken away with a PK. However, in the 53rd minute, Bukayo Saka poured in a Martin Odegaard free-kick to level the score. In the 58th minute Gabriel Martinelli scores from a tight angle and manages to turn the game around. In the 69th minute, the ball was passed at a good pace and Eddie Nketiah scored a stunning reverse shot to make it 3-1. He won the match and won four league games in a row.
Second placed Manchester City will face Leeds United. Shortly before the end of the first half, Rodri pushed where the goalkeeper was playing and scored the first goal. Early in the second half, Erling Haaland poured in Jack Grealish’s gift pass to make it 0-2. Haaland scored his 20th league goal in the 64th minute thanks to a combination of Haaland and Grealish. City then conceded from a set piece but won 3–1.
Manchester United’s forward line is lively against Nottingham Forest. Marcus Rashford scored a spectacular goal from a set piece before Anthony Martial scored from Rashford in the 23rd minute to make it 2-0. Fred also scored a goal in the closing stages to win 3-0.
Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma started against Southampton. When he starts from the left side, he pulls from the turn and shows his presence. Adam Lallana opened the scoring with a header in the 14th minute, followed by an own goal in the 35th minute. In the 56th minute, March swung his left foot out of the cut-in to make it 0-3. Brighton dropped a point on penalties, but won 3-1.
