Members of the Organized Crime Division of the Bolivarian National Police killed a criminal known by the alias “Cara e’ Muerto.”
The armed confrontation occurred at Kilometer 40, El Moralito parish in the Colón municipality, via Santa Bárbara – El Vigía, south axis of Lake Zulia state.
The authorities indicated that the thug, upon noticing the police presence, opened fire on the uniformed officers, leading to the confrontation in which he was killed.
The attacker was identified as Humberto José Barrios Ibáñez, who was the leader of a criminal gang that kept the population of the south of Lake Maracaibo flogged.
At the site of the event, the officials collected as evidence the firearm used by the offender, in addition to two percussed cartridges and another two without percussions, notifying the case to the Public Ministry.
