The EHC Kloten extends the table lead in the Swiss League to twelve points. While the Zürcher win against Sierre 6: 1, the first pursuer Langenthal loses away to Thurgau 4: 5.
Kloten led 4-0 in the home game against Sierre after the first third. The match winner in the sixth victory in a row for the crown favorite on promotion was Marco Truttmann with three goals. The 35-year-old veteran will end his professional career at the end of the season.
Langenthal led 2-0 and 3-1 in Weinfelden, but Thurgau made three goals between the 28th and 32nd minute for the interim change. After the equalization by Marc Kampf (43.), it was Michael Loosli who finally decided the game in favor of Thurgau with a 5: 4 almost ten minutes before the end. For Langenthal it was the third defeat in a row.
Winterthur, on the other hand, managed a long-awaited break in the 5: 3 in the Zurich derby against the GCK Lions. For the knocked-down bottom of the table, it was the first victory since December 23 after 13 defeats.
