Le Tréport: Evacuated camper vans

The municipality of Tréport, in Seine-Maritime, had authorized motorhomes to settle on the campsite. The police asked for their evacuation.

Laurent Jacques, the mayor of Tréport, in Seine-Maritime speaks of ” misunderstanding the most total ”, on this Thursday, May 21, 2020.

To my surprise this noon the gendarmerie under the orders of the sub-prefect asked us to evacuate the 150 motorhomes that we had hosted for this weekend in the campsite. A ministerial decree was released last night prohibiting us from opening the campsites themselves for motorhomes which are however autonomous.

He explains that work is planned on the motorhome areas of the city. They had to be shifted due to containment.

The mayor then authorized visitors to settle in the space next to the campsite. But the state decided otherwise.

This made it possible to set up more spaced locations and respect the distance. On the other hand, they can pile up on the motorhome areas, climbed on top of each other.

The city had no choice but to follow these instructions.
