On October 14, 1990, famous Californian duo Joe Montana-Jerry Rice performed legendary in a 45-35 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. A success that allowed the 49ers to remain undefeated and extend the streak of 13 consecutive road wins of the two-time defending champions.

On the lawn of Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, the two Hall of Famers broke records. Franchise, for the famous number 16 with his 6 touchdown assists. A productive afternoon he finished with 476 yards gained (32/49), but two interceptions thrown.

His sidekick was even more impressive. 13 receptions, 225 yards and 5 touchdowns, NFL record to the key. Originally established by Bob Shaw in 1950, Rice was the second player to reach this mark after Kellen Winslow in 1980. He however became the very first receiver to achieve such a performance, the other two being tight ends.
